Caren, great piece as always. While I hate the idea of Trump back on Twitter, consider the conundrum he presents for new Twitter ownership. If he’s back and followed by his horde of followers all tweeting misinformation, disinformation, hate speech and speech promoting violence, what does Twitter do? Open the floodgates, which may provoke a backlash. If Twitter takes a hands off approach then the social media app morphs into an extremist right wing message board. I do not want Trump back with his hateful insanity, but I do think Musk may not fully comprehend the consequences of such an act. Time will tell.
