Gillian, I’m an old guy and I think the author handled the situation well and appropriately. It’s clear the BIL’s ego has been damaged and dented male egos tend cause havoc. I’m not surprised the BIL’s “bros” have his back simply because they are imagining how they would feel if their fragile egos were rattled. Interested in seeing other views.
